Responsibility Groups

Whoever we are, whatever we've done, God welcomes us. Relationships matter to him – and to us, too. We prioritise the building of relationships through 'Responsibility Groups'.

We try to include everyone in the church in a Responsibility Group, no matter what our age and how involved in the life of the church we are so that, whatever else, someone will be praying for you.spain by plane...

Most groups include children as well as adults; some even include people who wouldn't say they're Christians yet!

Each group seeks:Harpers Brook Resp Group

  • to encourage each   other in our life of faith
  • to develop ways of caring for each other
  • to pray for         ourselves  and others
  • to enable those group members (who wish) to meet together regularly
  • to be 'responsible' for each other

There are currently six groups, and attending members have opted to meet fortnightly on Thursdays in different homes, although one of the groups regularly meets in the church for breakfast followed by bible study, and is part of our 'community presence'.The groups are:-

Studfall, Danesholm, Cresswell/Grantham, Shire, Harpers Brook, & the Monday Breakfast Group which meets at 9.15am in church during term time.

Group meetings are typically a dozen or so church members who commit to supporting each other and those who do not attend, and together seek to put their Christian faith into practice.

What they do together varies according to the character of the group and whatever the church has agreed, but most meetings will include a relaxed mixture of social time, bible exploration & discussion, and some prayer together for the concerns of group members and for the needs of the wider community.

Being part of a Responsibility group can provide an opportunity to develop close friendships with a small number of people, and to take real steps forward in the Christian life.
