Letter from Ian 30th May
I hope you are all enjoying the sunny weather and looking forward to the further relaxing of the lockdown. Please do be careful and remember that social distancing is still necessary.
You will remember my joy at getting over 100 names on our email list - it came at a price, I couldn't send a single message to more than 100 people! I am sending this in two, the PCC and the rest, just because I already had a group for PCC members. Of course it is possible for anyone to access our services via the internet, and I know they have been viewed in Banchory, Aberdeenshire and Wangaratta, Australia! Anyone else know of more distant views?
After Bryan's funeral last Tuesday I received the following message: "Margaret Freeland wishes to thank Ian for his care and support, for all that he has done, and for a lovely Service. Thanks also to the Congregation for their love, prayers, and cards".
Thanks as ever to all those involved in putting this week's Pentecost service together. It was supposed to be an All Age service, so I'm delighted that we have some prayers written by some of our young people. It is also Communion again so do make sure you have some bread and wine (or fruit juice) ready to share at the appropriate time. The link is below and there is a PDF "Pentecost". There are Energize resources linked to this theme as well, including the popular "Extra Ideas" which is called "25-05-20 Pentecost" (Editor's apology: the "Extra Ideas" is not available on the website due to technical issues).
With love and prayers for a Happy Pentecost,
