Letter from Ian 31st October
It is sad to note the ever increasing numbers of infections, hospital admissions and deaths from Covid 19. Please pray for all who are ill, those involved in caring, and for the government as they decide on further steps. If this means a lockdown it is possible tomorrow may be our last meeting together for a while. We have maintained our online services (see below) and will be able to develop these again, with more input from different people, if the need arises.
Please remember to pray for Christine Kettridge, Alois Mateyo (Linda's parents are now here and her funeral arranged for 12th November) and also our new cleaner, Joel, who has had some housing problems this week but we hope these have now been resolved.
If you missed the Spring Harvest Pop-up events this week they are still available on youtube, and the Pandamonium Praise Party is happening this evening (Saturday) at 6pm and can be accessed either via
https://springharvest.org/events/october-half-term or on youtube, both live and afterwards.
The Traidcraft stall will be open in church tomorrow, Sunday 1st November, but if you are not able to be there please do contact me and we can arrange a delivery of food, chocolate, Christmas cards and gifts. You can view the full range at www.traidcraftshop.co.uk but you will save P&P and help our stall if you order via Miriam.
The flat and empty shoeboxes are in church waiting to be picked up and filled, along with the leaflets saying what can and cannot go in the boxes. I suggest you try and fill your box and drop it off asap in case of further restrictions. In any event the last date for dropping off a shoebox is Sunday 15th November.
There are no children's resources this week as there is some interaction in the service and you could watch the Pandemonium Praise Party instead. Steve's latest mini SCaNS includes a hot off the press article about the comedian Bobby Ball who died this week. Also we have is the latest news from Hope from Above in Australia.
I have produced a PDF of this week's service and the youtube link is:
I hope God will bless you in this coming week, whether through our worship together in church, the online service or through a Bible reading or an answer to prayer. Please do let me know if any of the above happens as it is always good to share stories of God at work among us.
May God bless you all,
