Letter from Ian 4th April
I hope you are all keeping well as we are in the Vicarage. It has been good to see a few people this week when I have been running errands for them, please do ask if you need any shopping, prescriptions picking up, etc.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday when you would normally receive a Palm Cross, so this year there are some instructions about how to make one on the "Staying In Touch" page ! Please note - although it says card you can make with paper, and the instructions make it sound more complicated than it is, I made a Cross about 15cm x 10cm (6" x 4") in just a few minutes.
The service is attached in a similar format to last week, with songs chosen by Trevor and accompanying youtube clips selected by Jo (sorry about the adverts but that is how youtube is free to use), Trevor has also written the prayers and this week's sermon is from Rosie. Steve has contributed some puzzles which are on the "Staying In Touch" page.
The Energize groups have their own sheets - if we could have some feedback on these it will help us to prepare them: are you using them, what works well, what more would you like, etc, etc.
As this is Holy Week there are a couple of extra resources that will be coming out, a reflection from William, a Maundy Thursday sermon from Steve and something for Good Friday for families in place of the Hot Cross Bun Feast - look out for them in your inbox.
The following week there will be lots of Spring Harvest material to engage with for adults, young people and children, so look out for details of that and how we might engage with it as a church family.
Do keep in touch with one another, especially at coffee time after the service tomorrow, and remember if you need anything do get in touch - there are lots of people waiting to help!
May God be with you and all those you love and care for, this week and for evermore,
